Capital Cafe and Restaurant, Columbia, SC

$38.95

I

Red Arrow Line’s  craftsman HO scale Capital Café and Restaurant kit. Inspired by a structure still standing in Columbia, SC, this two story building was built around 1870. The ground floor can be used as a restaurant, bar, or retail; and the stairs in the middle door lead to the 2nd floor which could be offices, professional, or even a pool hall.

The original structure appears to have had stucco frontage and brick sides , as well as the cast iron entry doors and display window framework that were common elements during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Many of the buildings of this era survive in towns large and small, although some have been modernized in some fashion.  The iron work was supplied by companies like Mesker Brothers Iron Works based in St. Louis , Missouri, marketed by catalog, and components shipped by rail to building sites throughout the country.

Our kits are inspired by actual historic buildings, many still standing. Each kit is individually laser cut and engraved in very small batches after extensive research of available photos and other information.

All kits include detailed illustrated instructions.

THIS IS A KIT. YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN GLUE, PAINT,AND PATIENCE.

Returns accepted within 14 days for unopened kit boxes.
