Turner-Todd Buick, Mobile, AL

$44.95

Red Arrow Line’s  Craftsman HO scale Turner-Todd Motor Company  kit. Inspired by a two story brick and concrete building in Mobile, Alabama, built in 1926.

This building was an early example of a style adapted to the purpose of the budding auto industry. The interior of the main portion had an open arrangement in order to showcase new automobiles, with offices in the back. A distinguishing feature of the first floor was a ramp with a rolled metal door on the street side, leading to service bays and storage. The floor of the second story was supported by heavy timbers to support the weight. Like the prototype, center portion of large windows can be modeled open or closed.

The dealership closed in the mid 1940s, but the building has been renovated and re-purposed, and is still in use.

Our kits are inspired by actual historic buildings, many still standing. Each kit is individually laser cut and engraved in very small batches after extensive research of available photos and other information.

All kits include detailed illustrated instructions.
